Midsomer Murders (Bentley Productions)
This scene involved a character being hit on the head and then thrown over the top of a weir. To achieve this, a stunt artist had to fall 15ft from a walkway into a weir and then drift away downstream.
The safety team was required to clear the area in the weir where the fall was to take place as well as test the depth, potential obstructions or underwater hazards, water flow, speed, eddies (visible and hidden) and the currents.
Standard operating procedures meant that we had a safety team, boat and medical cover onsite.
